One of the small projects that we are completing this monsoon is the renovation of an old bathroom in the big boys hostel. It has not been used for the last 10 years and so we have decided to turn it into a small guestroom -suitable for up to 4 men. We have been having a lot more volunteer workers over the last few months so this should help a lot in providing comfortable accomodation for them.

Firstly we had to remove all the old cubicle walls and raised floor. This was a difficult task but many hands made light work. We then knocked out the old windows and put in new, larger ones to let the light in. After that the floors and walls were plastered as well as some exterior work we were able to build some internal walls to make up the en-suite bathroom.

Work on the bathroom went fast and within a day most of the tiling had been done. We are now up to the stage of painting and fitting out the room and hope to have it completed within a few weeks.
